Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
Two students and three staff from the William Henry Smith School took part in a most challenging trek on Saturday 11th June 2022, The Yorkshire Three Peaks.
They set off from Horton-in-Ribblesdale at 7.30am and began the journey of 24 miles walking and after 12 hours had ascended the three highest peaks in Yorkshire, Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
The struggle was unbelievable and there were quite a few times when the boys wanted to give up and turn back but the resilience, courage and determination that they showed to carry on was a credit to them, the school couldn’t be any prouder.
