The William Henry Smith School are proud to announce the official opening of our new residential house named ‘Burrows’. The house has been named after Rob Burrows, the former rugby league player, who played for Leeds Rhinos and England.
The Burrows house has been designed to a high specification and gives a lovely, homely feeling for 5 of our residential boys.
In support of Rob Burrows and his family we have decided as a house to support The Rob Burrows Centre for MND Appeal. We are planning a number of fundraising events in the near future to support this fabulous charity which aims to raise £5 million to build a specialist MND (Motor Neurone Disease) Care Centre in Leeds, to give people living with MND the best quality of life.
The Rob Burrows Centre for MND Appeal is part of the Leeds Hospitals Charity, and we were delighted to be joined by members of the charity along with ‘Ernie the Owl’ who is the charities mascot.
