At WHSS, our English curriculum integrates with geography and history projects through tailored English packs. These packs offer flexible, high-quality resources, helping teachers deliver a rich English curriculum.
Students engage with challenging texts and explore various writing genres, supported by planning frameworks, model texts, and comprehension-focused book studies. We also use Read Write Inc resources and phonics to build foundational reading skills, with progressive phases that nurture student independence. Extension activities, from creative writing to comprehension modules, allow students to develop their reading, writing, and imaginative skills at their own pace.
