Welcome to the Summer edition of the WHSS newsletter...
Once again, on Thursday 20th July 2023, The William Henry Smith School & Sixth Form were proud to host its annual Prize Giving Ceremony.
The occasion provided the opportunity for parents and carers to meet with staff in a relaxed atmosphere at the school. They were invited to take a look at the work produced throughout the last academic year but more importantly take pride in their child’s achievements. After the Prize Giving Ceremony lunch was provided with options of Greek Street Food, Pizza and BBQ.
Principal, Sue Ackroyd started Prize Giving by summarising all the successes of the last academic year, there was a significant amount to celebrate. A presentation full of various activities and learning throughout the year was shown, highlights this year include residential trips to Greece, Spain, Gibraltar, Wales, Northumbria and North Yorkshire.
