We have a dedicated training department that provides training to our own staff and to external agencies, sharing knowledge and expertise, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. As a Centre of Excellence we delivery training to families, schools, colleges, Universities, NQT’s, PRU’s and Local Authorities. Improving Quality of Life underpins all our work.

Our lead trainer has a wealth of knowledge and experience working in SEND settings and is an Executive member of SEBDA. All our trainers are specialists in their field.

We deliver a range of courses throughout the academic year for external agencies at our training venue.

We can also deliver training in your setting at a date and time to suit you and your staff.  This can either be delivered on one of your inset days or in part sessions as ‘twilight’ training at the end of the school day.

The training we offer can be accessed on a pre-set date as listed in the training programme or alternatively any of the training we provide can be delivered in your own setting at a date and time to suit you. This can be delivered either on a full date or in twilight sessions at the end of the school day.

The training topics we offer as follows:- 

Positive Behaviour Support Training

  • Talking Strategies to reinforce Positive Behaviour
  • Team Teach

These topics looks at what behaviour is about, particularly in terms of communication between children and adults focusing on the best means of verbal and non-verbal communication to avoid conflict and de-escalate situations to prevent physical interventions. 

It also looks at personal safety, risk reduction strategies, positive handling, together with documentation and legal guidance.

We also offer full behaviour audits in your setting, this includes 1 day reading and planning, 1 day on site and 1 day report writing and feedback to your setting, complete with action points. Please see the link to our training programme below for further details. 

Wellbeing Toolkit  

We offer a range of 3 hour courses that focus on mental health and wellbeing along with diagnosed conditions such as Autism and ADHD.
